About Gaming World
What is Gaming World?
Gaming World is an independent gaming media company with a network of owned-and-operated brands and channels, complemented by channels led by some of gaming’s most influential news personalities. We help audiences discover what’s happening across gaming while connecting game developers, studios, publishers, and brand partners with the communities they want to reach.
Our coverage spans gaming culture, the gaming industry, competitive gaming, and esports.
Who are the founders of Gaming World?
The founders of Gaming World are Ron Rheingold, Jake Lucky, and Hunter Grooms. Ron brings more than 15 years of expertise in entertainment, live events, and gaming. He started this company as an excuse to play video games during the workday. Jake’s spent the last 10 years as the preeminent gaming news personality. Today, he loves interviewing developers from every corner of the gaming world. Hunter has been producing gaming content for over a decade across esports, creators, and game development. In his spare time, Hunter homesteads in the Carolinas and drinks Diet Mountain Dew for breakfast.
How does the Gaming World Media network operate?
Gaming World Media brings together owned-and-operated media brands and channels with a wider network of experienced gaming creators and industry voices that generate up to 550 unique pieces of content per month.
This network allows us to develop content and show it to gamers where they already spend time.
What is the difference between Gaming World Media’s owned-and-operated network and its creator network?
Our owned-and-operated network consists of the 20+ brands and 80+ channels Gaming World Media directly operates. These properties give us an established editorial presence and direct distribution across the gaming ecosystem. They reach over 25 million unique gamers a month.
Our wider creator network includes trusted gaming news personalities and collaborators who participate in content, events, and partner programs. Not every creator is involved in every activation. We assemble the right mix of brands, channels, formats, and voices for each opportunity.
What kinds of audiences does Gaming World Media reach?
Our network reaches fans and creators, and has become the source of information for game developers, publishers, and members of the gaming industry. We pride ourselves on talking to real, dedicated gamers. Gaming World’s audience cares deeply about gaming and the culture that surrounds it. They’re looking for information and news that speaks their language. These users are seeking out new games to play, content about their favorite titles, and cultural gaming moments, and we serve as their sole resource for this information.
Because Gaming World Media operates across multiple brands and channels, we can reach audiences with different interests, from industry news and new-game discovery to esports, creator culture, and broader gaming entertainment. Our audience engages with our content multiple times a week across the entire network.
Partnerships & Advertising
How does Gaming World Media work with brands and game makers?
A partnership may include original content, creator-led programming, sponsorships, live-event integration, content distribution, paid amplification, or a combination of these capabilities.
We begin with the partner’s goal and challenge. From there, we build a program using the parts of the Gaming World ecosystem best suited to the work.
Programs can support a specific launch or event, or become part of a longer-term campaign.
What game studios, developers, and publishers has Gaming World Media worked with?
We’ve worked with the biggest game makers all the way to solo devs. We support game makers of every size, at every level.
Some of our most prominent partners include Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), Epic Games, Netease, and Nex Playground.
What types of brand partners does Gaming World Media work with?
We work with the companies that make and distribute games, and with consumer brands that want to engage gaming audiences in a credible and culturally relevant way.
For game companies, that can mean supporting discovery, building awareness, or amplifying a launch. For brands outside gaming, it may mean developing an authentic entry point into gaming culture and connecting with audiences through the right content, creators, channels, or events.
Second Party
What is Second Party?
Second Party is the strategy, creative, and activation engine within Gaming World Media. It helps partners turn a business or marketing objective into content and campaigns designed specifically for gaming audiences.
Second Party was born from the realization that we have the most robust network of gamers at our fingertips. We’re a smarter and better solution for brands because we own this audience.
Depending on the engagement, Second Party can support strategy, concept development, production, creator activation, distribution, paid amplification, and performance measurement. Because it operates within Gaming World Media, its work draws on the network’s gaming expertise, audience understanding, creative talent, and distribution.
Do all partners need to work through Second Party to work with Gaming World?
No, Second Party is Gaming World’s in-house strategy and creative service. It may support a partnership when the work calls for campaign strategy, custom content, production, distribution, or measurement.
Partners can come to Gaming World with a specific request or simply a desire to reach and engage gamers. We will assemble the right team and capabilities around it.
New Game+
What is New Game+, and how is it connected to Gaming World?
New Game+ is a Gaming World property focused on helping gamers discover standout upcoming games through creator-led programming. We use our team of trusted personalities to spotlight games audiences should know about.
Gaming World Tour
What is Gaming World Tour, and how is it connected to Gaming World?
Gaming World Tour is a first-of-its-kind global tour, participating in the biggest gaming events around the world. From the most prestigious competitive events to the most exclusive industry and community experiences, we are on-site to cover, connect, and report.
Gaming World Tour is part of Gaming World and extends the network’s content, creators, and partner capabilities into live environments. In 2026, we covered Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, Esports World Cup, Dreamhack Atlanta, Brazil Game Show, and more. For a calendar of upcoming events, see our Events page.
How can a brand participate in the Gaming World Tour?
Participation may include event sponsorship, branded content, on-site activations, creator collaborations, or content distributed through the Gaming World Media network.
Available opportunities vary by event, location, audience, and format. We work with each partner to identify where it can add genuine value to the experience and connect naturally with the surrounding gaming community.
Content, Editorial & Sponsorship
Can Gaming World Media create and distribute content for a partner?
Yes. We can develop original content and adapt it into formats suited to different channels, platforms, and campaign needs.
Depending on the partnership, that may include video, social content, interviews, live programming, creator-led formats, event coverage, short-form edits, or assets for paid distribution. Content can be activated through relevant Gaming World Media properties and, where appropriate, extended through paid media.
How does paid coverage work for game developers and publishers?
Companies cannot purchase favorable editorial coverage or dictate what Gaming World Media’s editorial voices say about a game.
Commercial partnerships may fund clearly defined content, production, distribution, sponsorships, or amplification. Those programs are structured to preserve the credibility and authentic point of view that make the network valuable to audiences and partners alike.
The nature of our coverage is neutral, as it’s news/reportage. We don’t editorialize. No rankings, ratings, or reviews.
Can partners advertise or sponsor content across the Gaming World Media network?
Yes. Gaming World Media offers custom partnership, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities across our brands, channels, original formats, and live-event programs.
Because every part of the network serves a different audience and purpose, opportunities are developed around fit rather than applied uniformly across every property.
Can game developers or studios pay to have a game included in New Game+?
No, placement cannot be purchased. Game developers and studios cannot buy a game’s inclusion in New Game+ or the New Game+ Showcase. Games are selected by the New Game+ team and participating creators.
Sponsorship opportunities may be available around the New Game+ Showcase and related programming, but sponsorship does not determine which games are selected or guarantee editorial inclusion.
